    MixApp 0.1.0

Windows x64 release covering the changes since 0.0.5.

    Export

    • Prepare independent synchronized clips concurrently using half the logical CPU count, capped at eight jobs. An eight-core/eight-thread CPU can run four preparations; a 16-thread CPU can run eight. Small playlists use only the jobs they need.
    • Skip unnecessary EQ filtering in portions where all three bands are exactly neutral, while preserving active automation and the Rubber Band Fine quality setting.
    • Show separate source-preparation, rendering, peak-processing and encoding stages. Cancel export during preparation as well as rendering and encoding; preserve the previous destination on cancellation or failure.
    • Write MP3 metadata as ID3v2.3 with UTF-16 for non-Latin text, improving Cyrillic display in older players such as Winamp. This applies to newly exported files; re-export an older file to replace its tags.
    • Fix UTF-8 communication between the interface, engine and analysis workers on Windows. Cyrillic metadata and file paths are preserved independently of the system code page.

    Editing and playback

    • Audition Volume and LOW/MID/HIGH automation while playback continues. A completed gesture creates one Undo step; cancelling restores the confirmed curve. Saving and export use confirmed project data.
    • Pause playback when a clip drag starts, commit the move, and resume at the preserved position. Explicit Stop, cancellation and failed edits retain their respective transport behavior.
    • Improve BeatMix bass handoffs: incoming LOW stays at KILL for the first half of the transition, then blends in through an editable envelope. Reapply a BeatMix preset to regenerate an older saved transition.
    • Improve the displayed automation curves, point and whole-line dragging, and double-click point creation while preserving source-time points outside the visible trim.

    Interface

    • Add Graphite Mint and Daylight Studio palettes, with an always-visible Dark/Light switch and saved appearance preferences.
    • Use a consistent local set of monochrome Phosphor vector icons and quieter workspace controls. Include the icon license and attribution.

    Analysis, caching and packaging

    • Improve background track analysis and worker reuse, with intermediate progress and cancellation during project changes and shutdown.
    • Store new canonical PCM caches in a lossless, independently seekable compressed format. Existing raw caches remain readable; original music files are never rewritten.
    • Show measured cache disk usage and retain explicit cache-clearing controls.
    • Bundle a smaller audio-only FFmpeg build and the offline Rubber Band R3 utility. Trim unused packaging modules while preserving audio analysis and native runtime dependencies.
    • Verify version, source/resource hashes, pinned native libraries and bundled analysis models before producing a release.

    Upgrade notes and limits

    • Existing project files remain supported. Disposable caches may be regenerated; existing saved automation is retained.
    • Parallel preparation helps playlists with several uncached clips. A single clip remains limited by the native Rubber Band R3 processor; this release does not split recordings into independently stretched fragments.
    • The installer includes a signature for the existing in-app updater. This release supplies a Windows x64 installer; no Linux installer is included.
    • Bundled madmom model weights are CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. This release is for noncommercial use only. Attribution and licenses are included in the package.
    • Full automated checks retain nine known Python fixture/readiness errors and seven UI source-pattern failures. These are tracked separately from passing export, Unicode metadata, audio, build and packaged-engine checks.
